Course Description

In this course, you will get introduced to Political Science through studying a number of topics starting with an introduction tackling the different perspectives to defining Political Science as well as the different approaches in the field and ending with studying the basics of scientific writing and research in Political Science. We will also discuss some questions that are brought about in the field, such as whether Political Science is a science or not and whether there are political laws or not. The course would then take you to a deeper level where you will be introduced to some of the main and essential concepts of political science, such as the state, the government, power,..etc. By the end of this course, you will be able to understand and discuss basic concepts related to Political Science and would have a concrete introductory base to build on in your study of Political Science.

Hi, I’m Dr. Hedaia-T-Allah Nabil

I'm a Political Science PhD holder, from Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. I have more than 10 years of experience in the research field, with a special interest in areas of research linking Political Science with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field. This interest has developed out of my work for 10 years in the field of Communication and Information Technology, where I have been exposed to working with international organizations, especially all what's related to ICT indicators in Egypt and specialized international reports in this regard. Both my Master as well as my PhD theses tackled topics linking Political Science with ICT.
